All Inground Cleaners Robotic Pressure Side Suction Side

Which type of Automated Cleaner is best for you?

Robotic Cleaners
contain thier own drive and filtration system so you don't use your pools pump or filter system.  They work faster, quieter and can even clean the walls.  Many units are programmable and some even come with a remote,  which means you can clean just one area or spot in the pool.

Pros:
  • Self contained unit will not use your pump or filter.
  • Cleans your pool faster.
  • Most will scrub walls and tile lines.
Cons:
  • Most expensive type of cleaner.
  • Usually requires service center repair if malfunctioning.
Pressure Side Cleaners connect to your return side of your pool (where the water returns to your pool from the filter).  This force of the water is used to drive the cleaner around your pool and create a suction for vacuuming up dirt into a bag.  Some units require a extra booster pump and dedicated line.

Pros:
  • Dirt and debris are not sucked into your pool skimmer basket or filter.
  • Filtered water is distributed throughout the pool.
  • Works good for a pool with many leaves and larger debris.
Cons:
  • Most require a booster pump.
  • More expensive than suction side types.
  • Not as easy to work on as suction side types.
Suction Side Cleaners connect to you skimmer  and uses your pump to create a vacuum.  They travel along the bottom of your pool and collects the dirt and debris into the skimmer basket.

Pros:
  • Least expensive type, few moving parts.
  • Acts like a moving main drain.
  • Easy to install and maintain.
Cons:
  • Will not work  with a pool with several leaves or larger debris.
  • Dependent on filter and pump suction pressure.
  • Sucks up dirt and debris into your skimmer basket and filter.
